Stephanie Weissmann, LCSW

Stephanie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a certified clinical trauma professional. She received her Masters degree from Governors State University, focusing on Holistic Practice and is trained in EMDR. Stephanie provides counseling to individuals, couples, family, children, adolescents and young adults.

She has experience in treating individuals with trauma, mood disorders, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, relationship issues, post-traumatic stress, stress management, low-self esteem, women’s issues, spiritual issues, major life transitions and those emerging into adulthood.

Stephanie has worked in a variety of settings including therapeutic day schools, Residential and outpatient settings providing mental health treatment working with clients of all ages.

Stephanie is a mother of two who has a passion in providing help with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and can empathize and advocate for those women who no longer want to suffer in silence. Stephanie also has a an interest in reparenting and conscious awareness of conditioned behavior due to transgenerational trauma. Stephanie utilizes many therapeutic modalities including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused and Person Centered Therapy.

Stephanie believes that having a strong rapport with her clients creates a safe and comfortable space. Her style is empathic, collaborative and strengths-based. Stephanie also feels its important to provide psycho-education to her clients in order to help them feel empowered through their healing journey! Stephanie also believes in the importance of counseling, and having an outside source of encouragement, empowerment, and support through the trials and transitions of life. Stephanie wants to help her clients know their worth, value and identity, and live in a way that reflects wholeness and freedom.
