Maryssa DeNardo, LSW, CADC

Maryssa is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). Maryssa graduated from Aurora University specializing in addictions and hospital settings. Although has since moved her work into the private practice setting. Maryssa is trained in Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR).

While in school Maryssa completed an internship at Linden Oaks hospital working with adolescents struggling with substance abuse, suicidal thoughts, self-injury, PTSD/trauma, and other mental health challenges; and another internship at Cornerstone services where Maryssa connected older adults with mental health services within the community.

Maryssa’s provides therapy for those 16 and up. Her specialties include trauma/PTSD, life transitions, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and ADHD. Maryssa utilizes her skills by using different therapeutic approaches. Those therapeutic approaches include person-centered therapy, strength based therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. 

Maryssa would like to help you look within, develop as an individual, and work through your pain.
