Margaret Mahoney, LCSW

Maggie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who obtained her Master’s degree in Social Work from Aurora University, specializing in clinical mental health. She has extensive experience in providing therapy to those with trauma, grief and loss, transitional phases, anxiety, mood disorders, self-injurious behaviors, suicidal thoughts, and personality disorders.

Maggie is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and she has trained in several therapeutic modalities, including psychodynamic, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. She has a background in both residential and outpatient mental health treatment working with clients of all ages. 

Maggie views her clients as the experts in their lives, and she collaborates with them to identify their needs and priorities for treatment. She believes that most important aspect of therapy is building a therapeutic relationship that centers around compassion and trust.  Maggie values the importance of having a safe and secure environment in order to promote healing.
