Briea Frestel, LCSW, CADC, RYT

Briea is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and Registered Yoga Teacher.  She received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Aurora University.  Briea provides therapy to individuals of all ages, with a special interest in people emerging into adulthood.

She has a background in providing services at non-profit organizations to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, along with working at intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, and residential levels of care.

She provides therapy to those with depression, anxiety, body image issues, and complex trauma along with substance use, personality disorders, and eating disorders.  Her eclectic approach consists of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Attachment Theory, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy.  Additionally, Briea enjoys working with others who seek personal growth through identifying their own value and worth.  Some of her favorite areas of work involve healing learned attachment styles and behaviors, identifying ways to evoke a harmonious relationship with the body, and educating on the impact of the mind-body connection.

Knowing that every story is not the same, Briea approaches her therapeutic relationships with empathy, warmth, and humor.  She believes it is a privilege to witness the journey of others.  As your therapist, Briea will provide a safe place of empowerment and encouragement.
