As the New Year rolls around all you see is “New Year, New You” all over advertisements. But it’s not as easy as adding a supplement, getting a gym membership or restricting a specific type of food. I like to think of the New Year as a fresh start to transform your mindset, diet and lifestyle to a healthier and happier you.
But as we all know modifying daily habits is not easy. You can’t just wake up one day and totally transform your mindset and life. It is an exploration process of what will work best for you along with learning skills for managing everyday challenges to succeed in personal goals.
Food and eating are a vital part of life and it is important to use it to feel good, heal yourself and enjoy. Everyone NEEDS food to live. So why not learn how to cope with your emotions, find peace with food and remain satisfied along with gentle nutrition.
Nutrition counseling is working with our Registered Dietitian to create an individualized plan to adopt a healthier diet and lifestyle to improve your quality of life. Some people may want to completely modify their dietary habits, others manage medical conditions or chemical dependencies, or even just make small diet modifications to make them feel their best.
There is no overall right or wrong way to eat. Every body is different and every person has their own challenges so it is vital to have your own plan that is best for you. You may just engage in nutrition counseling or want to compliment it with other PBC Counseling services. We strive to help you find your own personal balance as it is a continuous and focused effort.
“If we could give every individual the right amount of nourishment and exercise, not too little and not too much, we would have found the safest way to health.” -Hippocrates
